Portable Hydraulic Pumping System
Integrated portable pumping set combining a hydraulically driven submersible pump head, power pack, hose set, and carry frame for rapid deployment in locations without vehicle access or reliable electrical supply
The Portable Hydraulic Pumping System is a self-contained pumping set comprising a hydraulically driven submersible pump head, a hydraulic power pack, a hose set with quick couplers, and a two-person carry frame. The pump head contains no electrical motor or cable, with hydraulic power supplied from the power pack through flexible hoses. This configuration allows the complete system to be carried by two operators through doorways, up staircases, and into confined spaces where vehicle-mounted equipment cannot be positioned. The pump delivers up to 260 m³/h at heads up to 35 meters, with a 35 mm solids passage for debris-laden water. The system is designed for dewatering in basements, utility shafts, construction pits, and remote sites where electrical supply is unavailable or unsafe. All components are matched at supply, so the pump head, power pack, and hose set operate as a single specified unit rather than separate items requiring field matching. The system is suited to procurement by contractors, municipal maintenance fleets, and rental operators requiring a deployable dewatering set.
The complete system includes the submersible pump head, the hydraulic power pack, a hose set with flat-face quick couplers, a discharge hose with flange coupling, a suction strainer, and a two-person carry frame. The pump head and power pack are specified as a matched pair, with the hydraulic motor displacement and power pack relief setting confirmed compatible before shipment. Longer hose lengths and additional pump heads can be supplied to order.
Yes. The pump head weighs approximately 28 kg and the power pack approximately 46 kg, with the carry frame designed for two-person transport of the complete set. The components can also be moved separately if access requires. Buyers should confirm doorway widths, stairwell clearances, and any lifting arrangements at the target sites against these weights and dimensions before ordering.
Hose length depends on the distance between the power pack position at surface level and the pump head in the water, including any horizontal routing through doorways or along corridors. The standard set includes 10 meters of hydraulic hose. Buyers should measure the actual routing distance, add allowance for slack and protection at edges, and specify the length at order stage. Longer lengths are available, and excessive length beyond the requirement should be avoided to reduce pressure loss.
The power pack can drive additional pump heads of the same hydraulic specification, provided the total flow demand of the connected heads does not exceed the power pack output. Where multiple pump heads operate simultaneously, a flow divider arrangement may be required to maintain stable operation of each head. Buyers planning multi-point dewatering should confirm the intended number of pump heads and duty points at inquiry stage so the power pack and flow arrangement can be specified accordingly.
The hydraulic motor and shaft bearings are lubricated by the hydraulic circuit rather than the pumped water, so the pump can run dry without immediate bearing failure. However, the mechanical seal relies on water for cooling, and extended dry running accelerates seal face wear. For applications where water level fluctuates, a level control valve or float switch on the power pack circuit is recommended to stop the pump when water falls below the suction inlet.
After each deployment, flush the pump head casing and impeller with clean water, and inspect the hydraulic couplers and hoses for abrasion or contamination. Check the impeller and wear plate condition, and replace worn parts as needed. Verify the engine oil level and air filter condition on the power pack. For units in standby, run the power pack briefly each month to confirm operation and prevent seal sticking.
A complete inquiry should include: required discharge flow in cubic meters per hour; required head in meters; vertical lift from water source to discharge point; hose routing distance and any access constraints; expected solids content of the water; required discharge outlet size; and whether the buyer requires the complete matched set or pump head only. For fleet or rental procurement, indicate the estimated annual quantity and whether the specification must remain fixed across repeat orders.
