Tracked Flood Drainage Robot
The Tracked Flood Drainage Robot is a remotely operated dewatering and debris clearance platform engineered for emergency flood response, urban waterlogging mitigation, and industrial site drainage. The system integrates a high-capacity submersible pump with a tracked chassis designed for stability on submerged and sediment-covered surfaces. It operates in water depths up to 1.5 meters and delivers 420 m³/h discharge through a 150 mm outlet. The onboard debris grinder processes solids up to 60 mm, eliminating pre-screening requirements. Control is maintained via a tethered remote console with 300 meters of cable, providing real-time telemetry including pump pressure, flow rate, motor temperature, and water level. The unit is configured for deployment from standard transport vehicles and can be operational within 12 minutes of arrival.
- Operational within 12 minutes of arrival on site
- Single-operator setup and control
- Integrated lifting points for crane or forklift handling
- Quick-coupling discharge hose connection
- No assembly tools required for field deployment
- Tracked chassis maintains traction on submerged surfaces
- 280 mm ground clearance navigates debris and sediment
- Sealed drive motors rated for continuous submersion
- Skid-steer turning within confined spaces
- Operates in water depths up to 1.5 meters
- Real-time pump pressure and flow rate display
- Motor temperature monitoring with alert threshold
- Water level detection with automatic pump control
- 300-meter tether with strain relief and cable management
- Data logging for post-event reporting
The robot operates on 24V DC supplied through the tether from an external power source. A portable generator or battery pack with minimum 8 kW output is required. The system includes a 30-meter power cable from the control console to the power source, with optional extensions available.
The unit weighs 185 kg and measures 1100 x 780 x 620 mm, allowing transport in a standard pickup truck or van. Four integrated lifting eyes enable crane or forklift positioning. Two operators can move the unit on flat surfaces using the integrated handles. Deployment into water is accomplished by controlled lowering with the lifting eyes.
The hydraulic grinder reduces solids up to 60 mm in diameter, including organic debris, plastic fragments, small stones, and fibrous material. For applications with large stones or metal objects, a pre-screening basket is available as an optional accessory. The grinder blade set is field-replaceable and rated for 500 hours of operation.
After each deployment, flush the pump housing and grinder with clean water. Inspect the track pads for wear and remove trapped debris. Check the tether for abrasion and clean the connectors. Lubricate the track tensioners every 50 operating hours. Replace the grinder blades and pump seals according to the service interval schedule.
The standard configuration operates in ambient temperatures from 0°C to 45°C. For operation below freezing, a cold-weather package is available that includes heated control console, low-temperature hydraulic fluid, and thermal protection for the pump motor. The package extends the operating range to -10°C.
